Stryker nominates two new members of board of directors

18th January 2018

Stryker has announced that Sheri McCoy and Rajeev Suri have been nominated for election to the company's board of directors.

Ms McCoy is an experienced healthcare and consumer sector leader who has worked for Johnson and Johnson for three decades, leading large medical device, pharmaceutical and consumer businesses. She is currently chief executive officer of Avon Products.

Meanwhile, Mr Suri is the president and chief executive of the global technology firm Nokia, and has been credited with leading a significant transformation of the company through significant portfolio adjustments, such as the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent.

Both nominations will be considered at Stryker's next annual meeting of shareholders on May 2nd. If successfully elected, this would bring the total size of the company's board to ten members.

Kevin Lobo, chairman and chief executive officer of Stryker, said: "They will bring new perspectives and complementary skills, in addition to rich experiences leading large organisations. They also both share a passion for healthcare and helping Stryker achieve its mission."
