Synergy Health accredited with Carbon Trust Standard

Synergy Health has won accreditation for its commitment to environmental measures from the UK's Carbon Trust.

The healthcare services provider has been accredited with the Carbon Trust Standard, becoming one of 415 British organisations to receive the title, after demonstrating its company-wide dedication to reducing emissions.

To achieve this, Synergy Health staff created a carbon management team including members from every division.

During a series of monthly meetings, the members of the team discussed ways in which the company could reduce its environmental impact and energy use, as well as hosting regular energy awareness workshops for other employees.

One of the team's dedicated energy champions said: "Carbon Trust accreditation is an enormous achievement and we are really proud of how passionate our employees have been in ensuring Synergy achieve its carbon reduction targets."

Earlier this month, Synergy Health announced that it has acquired the German sterilisation company Gamma-Service-Produktbestrahlung in order to increase its presence in Europe.
