Synergy Health appoints new chairman

27th September 2010

Synergy Health has announced the appointment of Robert Lerwill as its new chairman, replacing the retiring Stephen Wilson.

Mr Wilson has stepped down from his position at the outsourced healthcare services provider after occupying the role for eight years, with Mr Lerwill moving into the job having previously acted as a non-executive director for Synergy.

Richard Steeves, chief executive officer of Synergy Health, praised Mr Wilson for his contributions to the business during a period of marked growth for the company.

He added: "I would like to congratulate Robert Lerwill on his appointment as chairman of the company and I look forward to working with Robert during what will be an exciting period for Synergy."

Coinciding with this appointment, the company also announced that Constance Baroudel will join Synergy as a non-executive director, while Marcello Smit steps down from his position on the board.

Earlier this month, Synergy Health announced it is creating new sterile service supercentres in Leicester and Sheffield to support two NHS trusts, with work set to be completed in 2011.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800083656-ADNFCR
