Synergy Health continues growth in third quarter

4th February 2011

Synergy Health has seen continuing improvements in its business performance during the financial quarter ending on January 2nd 2011.

During the third quarter of the company's current financial year, underlying revenue rose by 2.5 percent year-on-year to 112.4 million pounds, despite the impact of adverse weather conditions during the period.

Its decontamination division saw revenue growth of 12.4 percent in the quarter, with Synergy agreeing new contracts with the United Lincolnshire Hospitals and North Lincolnshire and Goole acute trusts, while sterilisation services also performed well.

For the nine months of the fiscal year to date, reported revenues have remained broadly level with last year at 215.1 million pounds, due to the wind-down of its non-core healthcare solutions business.

A Synergy statement said: "Overall trading in the third quarter has been in line with the board's expectations and the company remains on track to achieve the board's expectations for the full year."

Last month, the company became a commercial partner for the China Britain Education Centre's China Britain Continuing Medical Education programme, which aims to forge stronger links and knowledge exchange between the two countries.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800386863-ADNFCR
