Systagenix to implement ToolsGroup supply chain software

30th November 2012

Systagenix has announced plans to introduce new supply chain planning software to its operations, with the aim of optimising its global inventory footprint.

The medical technology firm has started a six-month pilot with ToolsGroup, with the aim of rolling out the software developer's SO99 Plus application across all of its product groups, market sectors and locations.

During the pilot, ToolsGroup will analyse Systagenix's current data and calculate new safety stock levels for a sample group of items, with data to be made available to Systagenix via secure web access within eight weeks.

This will help the healthcare firm to increase its focus on satisfying customer demand and offering the best possible value.

Alastair Mitchell, supply chain general manager at Systagenix, said: "Inventory costs and obsolescence have to be kept to a minimum. One of the greatest opportunities to achieve efficiency improvements without compromising service levels lies in smarter inventory management."

The company is currently looking to expand its operations, having acquired O2 Insights and launched new commercial gamma irradiation and laboratory services under the Gargrave Sterilisation Services name earlier this year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801498226-ADNFCR
