Tecan names new head of corporate development

Tecan has announced the appointment of Erik Norstrom as its new head of corporate development, a role he will assume no later than December 1st.

Mr Norstrom, the current corporate vice-president for business development at Chr Hansen Holding, will also become a member of Tecan's management board when he joins the company.

The new recruit has held a variety of corporate development and merger and acquisition positions of increasing responsibility over the course of a career that has seen him work with a number of healthcare and medical technology businesses.

Mr Norstrom has held his current post at Chr Hansen Holding – a global bioscience company that develops natural ingredient solutions for the food, nutritional, pharmaceutical and agricultural industries – since August 2015.

From 2012 to 2015, he was head of business development and mergers and acquisition at Nobel Biocare, taking responsibility for activities including corporate strategy. Prior to his time with Nobel Biocare he served as corporate development director at Roche for seven years.
