Teva makes “generous” donation to IHP
Teva has made a donation of 12.1 million worth of products to International Health Partners (IHP), it has announced.
In a statement the organisation explained that the donation is the equivalent of more than two million treatments, which is a record for a single offering from a single UK firm.
Anthony Dunnett, president of IHP, said: “Generous donations like Teva’s are a great example of how industry can help the millions of people worldwide who lack access to essential primary healthcare medicines.”
Meanwhile, Richard Daniell, Senior Director at Teva, explained that the firm’s philosophy revolves around making healthcare accessible.
As such, Teva, which is the largest manufacturer of generic medicines in the UK, is committed to collaborating with bodies such as the IHP to offer basic healthcare items to those who need them most, he concluded.
Earlier this month, the organisation announced that it has appointed Dipankar Bhattacharjee as its new chief executive officer.
