The Romans hired for PlayStation UK PR brief

The Romans has won a new brief with Sony's UK PlayStation business following a competitive three-month pitch process.

Taking over the account from Fever PR, The Romans will handle press office functions, influencer relations, content creation and PR-led experiential activity, with its remit covering both hardware and software associated with the PlayStation brand.

As well as leading brand-oriented campaigns to promote the PlayStation 4 console to new audiences, the agency will lead launch campaigns for upcoming PlayStation-exclusive titles, including Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and God of War.

The account will be led by associate director Tom Winterton, who was included in PRWeek's 30 Under 30 list for 2013.

Jo Bartlett, head of comms at PlayStation UK, said: "The Romans demonstrated two things very clearly: standout creative ideas and the team needed to deliver them. We're really excited about the potential of the campaigns they presented at pitch."
