The Romans wins UK PR brief with Twitter
The Romans has been handed a new UK brief by the social media giant Twitter, which is seeking to find new ways to promote its brand.
Following three years of working with Red Consultancy, Twitter has hired The Romans to develop creative campaigns, consumer media relations, trade, content, events and influencer work, as well as to find ways to revamp consumer and media engagement with the platform, reports PRWeek.
This work will include the creative exploration of certain online subcultures and non-traditional media channels, while the agency will also work with trade and marketing media to help explain and demonstrate new promoted products when they launch.
A statement from agency co-founders Joe Sinclair and Misha Dhanak said: "Whether it's news, sport, politics or lols, Twitter is about what's happening right now. Creative opportunities don't come more real-time than this one."
This comes after The Romans recently worked with Facebook on a project that encouraged visitors to the Turner Prize exhibition at Tate Britain to film their reactions to the artwork using Facebook Live.
