Thermo Fisher Scientific announces launch of Lab Forms 2.5

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of a new CG/MS software suite targeted at specific laboratory applications, called Lab Forms 2.5.

Designed for use in labs dealing with food safety, clinical research/forensic toxicology, environmental issues and general QA/QC, the software promises to provide "optimal productivity", the company said.

The package includes wizards and templates to allow daily batches to be programmed simply, thus cutting the time necessary to queue samples and acquire data.

Furthermore, the Lab Form 2.5 suite incorporates Method Forge, which "provides an automated pathway to generating full scan methods", Thermo Fisher commented.

Those in science sales jobs who are familiar with the company’s full range of GC/MS instrumentation may be interested in the software, which is designed to complement the line.

QuanLab Forms, EnviroLab Forms and ToxLab Forms are among the packages available.

Recently, Thermo Fisher Scientific announced a free water feed analysis service for scientists using pure water applications.
