Thermo Fisher Scientific creates new advisory board

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the creation of a scientific advisory board in order to improve the company's dialogue with the healthcare sector.

The firm recently held the inaugural meeting of the new board, which includes company representatives such as president and chief executive officer Marc Casper and board member Dr Tyler Jacks.

External members include biochemistry expert Ronald Davis, oncology specialist Dr William Hahn and pathology authority David Hillyard, as well as cell biologist Dr Steven Gygi.

According to the company, the board will create a formal structure for its interactions with the health, science and education sectors and promote new scientific discoveries.

Mr Casper added: "The insight and distinct expertise of each member of our scientific advisory board will be invaluable in helping us set a course for the innovation of new products and services."
