Thermo Fisher Scientific introduce bulk weighing products

Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched a range of "state-of-the-art" industrial bulk weighing, monitoring and measurement products for the process industries.

Paula Frisk, bulk weighing and monitoring solutions product manager at the serving science company, emphasised that accurate measuring and monitoring can enhance the solids and bulk materials recycling process and aid the company’s environmental performance and bottom line.

Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ range of products includes tramp metal detectors which it claims are able to identify all types of metallic scrap – even if it is buried in wet conductive materials.

Its twin tandem-screw weighers run at three different preset speeds to help recover bypass dust back into the manufacturing process.

The screw weighers also incorporate microwave-based flow/no flow switches to prevent blockages in the system.

Weigh belt feeders are also installed at cement works to control the rate of shredded household waste being fed into the kiln as fuel.
