Thermo Fisher Scientific launches CarboPac PA10 Capillary Column
Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of the new CarboPac PA10 Capillary Column, for use by researchers and chemists in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical markets.
The new product is a carbohydrate column that is optimised for high-sensitivity determination of amino, neutral and acidic monosaccharides found in carbohydrate moieties of mammalian glycoproteins.
It features non-porous beads that are ten micrometres in diameter and incorporate a cross-linked structure to ensure long column life and stability from pH 0-14 at all concentrations of buffer salts.
Benefits of the CarboPac device include its simple isocratic separations, gradient compatibility and its ability to circumvent the need for sample derivatisation.
It is therefore ideal for underderivatised monosaccharide analysis, as well as the separation of alditols and sugars in matrices such as fruits and vegetables.
This comes after Thermo Fisher Scientific introduced its new Prelude SPLC sample preparation and liquid chromatography system for clinical research and forensic toxicology laboratories.
