Thermo Fisher Scientific launches Cascadion SM Clinical Analyser

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of its new Thermo Scientific Cascadion SM Clinical Analyser during a recent industry conference.

Showcased at the EuroMedLab symposium in Athens earlier this month, the fully automated analyser is set to be made commercially available in Europe, followed by the US, once the relevant regulatory approvals have been received.

Completely designed and built using Thermo Fisher products and technologies, the system has been tailored for small molecule analysis and aims to combine the usability of a clinical analyser with the selectivity and sensitivity of liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry.

It is designed for use in a variety of settings, including hospital laboratories, and to provide results for a range of clinical tests. Thanks to its turnkey operation, it can be used by laboratory staff with no specialised knowledge.
