Thermo Fisher Scientific launches expanded genome editing toolkit

29th November 2017

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of its new, expanded Invitrogen TrueEdit genome editing toolkit.

The new-look kit aims to address the full spectrum of genome editing needs, from basic solutions for simple CRISPR applications to sophisticated tools for highly efficient and precise genome editing.

New additions include the Invitrogen TrueCut Cas9 Protein v2, a recombinant Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 protein for genome editing with CRISPR technology, designed to deliver consistently high editing efficiency across all tested cell lines.

The firm has also added the new Invitrogen TrueGuide Synthetic gRNAs to the toolkit, providing effective economical options for primary, immune and stem cells editing applications.

These new additions will be supplemented by a suite of instruction, hands-on training and customer support services to help researchers get the most out of the kit.

Helge Bastian, vice-president and general manager of synthetic biology at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "With our expanded Invitrogen suite, we are in the position to serve as customers' exclusive, one-stop source for the highest quality genome editing products on the market."
