Thermo Fisher Scientific launches new plasmid DNA purification kits
Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of a new range of kits to enable the accelerated isolation of plasmid DNA.
The PureLink Fast Low-Endotoxin Plasmid Purification Midi and Maxi Kits allow researchers to isolate transfection-quality plasmid in about 30 minutes, allowing high yields of low-endotoxin DNA to be gathered in significantly less time and without alcohol precipitation.
This is made possible through the use of innovative advanced silica membrane-based columns, combined with the Thermo Scientific FastVac vacuum manifold, that allows pharmaceutical companies to accelerate their development of new therapies.
Plasmids purified with these new kits are fully compatible with and complement the workflows of the Gibco ExipCHO and Expi293 Expression Systems.
Jeff Franz, general manager of sample preparation at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "We are committed to accelerating our customers' journey to discovery and are excited that we can now offer customers a complete portfolio of low-endotoxin plasmid DNA isolation kits for a wide range of applications."
