Thermo Fisher Scientific launches new Samco Clicktainer leakproof vials

Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the launch of its new Samco Clicktainer vials, which are designed to help provide secure and reliable sample collection and transport.

The leakproof vials offer a unique lid-lock design that makes it easier to ensure consistently correct cap application, which is essential when handling valuable or hazardous clinical, research and forensic samples.

Users simply turn the lid gently past the lock symbol, with an audible click signifying that the lid has been fully sealed. This click mechanism is also tactile, with clear markers on the lid and vial indicating when the lid is correctly closed.

Samco Clicktainers can be used to handle fluid, solid and powder samples, including urine, sputum and stool specimens, and have received regulatory approval in Europe and the US.
