Thermo Fisher Scientific presents new precision medicine solutions at AACR 2017
Thermo Fisher Scientific has showcased a number of technological advances for precision medicine at this week's American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) annual meeting.
The company attended the conference in Washington DC to share insights into how its new products can help characterise the molecular makeup of disease to help deliver better treatments for cancer in future.
Featured products included Ion Torrent Oncomine Knowledgebase Reporter, a cloud-enabled tool that helps researchers to link sample-specific variants to labels, guidelines and global clinical trials, as well as the Applied Biosystems TaqMan Digital PCR Liquid Biopsy Assays for translational oncology.
Also on display were the Thermo Scientific My Pipette Creator – the first cloud-based application designed to enable centralised programming of connected pipettes – and the Gibco Cancer Cell Culture Starter Kits, plus the new Oncomine Comprehensive Assay v3.
Joydeep Goswami, president of clinical next-generation sequencing and oncology for Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "Thermo Fisher is committed to enabling breakthroughs in the laboratory through its broad spectrum of solutions for the development of future clinical applications."
