Thermo Fisher Scientific to present cancer research data at AMP 2017
Thermo Fisher Scientific is attending this week's Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) annual meeting, where it is sharing findings from its cancer research portfolio.
The conference will play host to the first ever presentation of a case study by a laboratory using the company's Oncomine Dx target test, discussing how this companion diagnostic for non-small cell lung cancer is helping to address the need for simultaneous screening of multiple biomarkers.
Another presentation will discuss how the Oncomine cfDNA lung and colon assays can overcome limitations associated with current liquid biopsy analysis methods, while also showing strong concordance with solid tissue samples.
These and other findings in solid tumour profiling and liquid biopsy clinical research are being shared during the event in Salt Lake City, which takes place today (November 15th).
Joydeep Goswami, president of clinical next-generation sequencing and oncology at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "The customer presentations at AMP are prime examples of what's on the horizon for new approaches that hold great potential to broaden the future of the technology's application in cancer."
