Thermo Fisher Scientific has revealed the new Orion 2120XP calcium hardness monitor, the latest product in its range of online water analysis products.

Designed for customers in the power and drinking water market, the new monitor provides "unmatched versatility and performance" in a simple test which can be utilised by "users at any skill level".

The leading serving science compnay reports that the product offers "superior" protection against the effects of scale on ultra-pure water systems.

The company also claims that the Orion 2120XP offers "rapid" detection of calcium hardness levels with "sensitive, selective, reliable and verifiable measurements for rapid detection to pinpoint hardness breakthrough".

The product meets the EPA compliance and QA/QC validation programme’s guidelines by incorporating expandable modules for grab samples and low level verification.

Meanwhile, Thermo Fisher Scientific has recently launched the new SAM12, a rugged small particles monitor for use within the nuclear power industry.
