Tin Man to help launch Instagram app Takumi

Tin Man has been handed a brief to handle the October launch of Takumi, a new free Instagram app.

The initial campaign will run for four months and there is scope to work on future projects as Takumi launches across other social networks, reports Gorkana.

With Takumi, so-called 'influencers' – people with between 1,000 and 100,000 followers – will be able to connect with their favourite brands, choose campaigns to pursue based on their interests, and be paid a fee in proportion to their reach.

The app is launching at a time when the vlogger community is playing an increasingly influential role in consumer purchasing decisions, with Instagram users seen as potentially having similar power.

Mandy Sharp, founder of Tin Man, said: "It's an exciting proposition and we're keen to build on our current experience of influencer campaigns to really make this fly for Takumi."
