Triodent to donate dental supplies to charities

5th July 2010

Triodent is to donate a collection of dental supplies to four charitable initiatives which are aiming to improve the quality of oral care in various parts of the world.

The dental equipment firm is making the contributions to the organisations Bridge2Aid, Marine Reach and the Department of Community Oral Health, as well as a group of UCLA School of Dentistry students conducting a mission in China.

It has collected the supplies via an incentive-based drive conducted by Triodent among dental practitioners to donate unwanted sectional matrix retainer rings and matrices.

Triodent praised those who provided equipment for the initiative, saying the “overwhelming response” it received is evidence of the dental community’s interest in humanitarian projects.

Dr Simon McDonald, chief executive of Triodent, added: “On behalf of the dentists who sent in supplies, Triodent would like to wish all of these organisations the best of luck for all the good work they do.”

Last month, Triodent formed an alliance with fellow dental supplies firm Optident, which saw the latter company become Triodent’s UK and Ireland distributor.
