United Drug board member retires
United Drug has confirmed that board member Kieran McGowan has retired from the company.
The healthcare services and product provider stated that Mr McGowan departed the firm this month, following an announcement to that effect at the end of last year.
Prior to this, he had served the company in his capacity as a board member for ten years.
Responding to the news, group chairman Ronnie Kells thanked the outgoing executive for the “major contribution” he has made to United Drug throughout his career.
He added: “We wish him every success for the future.”
This comes after the company earlier this month revealed that it has enjoyed success during the fiscal quarter ending December 31st 2009, during which the company experienced profits that were in line with budgets.
Based on this, it went on to forecast that its yearly profits for 2010 will be broadly in line with those of the prior year.
