Vetstream launches new forensic science CPD service

5th August 2014

Vetstream has announced the launch of the first online continuous professional development (CPD) series covering veterinary forensic science and animal crime scene investigation issues.

Provided via the Vetacademy service, these six new e-learning modules and online videos cover all aspects of veterinary forensic science and medicine. The first two are already available, with more to follow later this year.

Offering insight from some of the world's leading experts, the lectures cover topics such as recognition of and response to suspected abuse, examination of victims, forensic entomology and assessing cases of neglect.

Future modules will deal with equine cruelty, mistreatment of reptiles and amphibians, and enrichment protocols for rodents and waterfowl.

Dr Mark Johnston, managing director of Vetstream, said: "This series provides an in-depth view of all of the issues …  It will prove particularly helpful for those who may be interested in entering the field or serving as an expert witness in legal cases."

Vetstream offers CPD and clinical reference sources on the care of dogs, cats, rabbits and horses, with content from more than 800 of the world's leading veterinary clinicians.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801740185-ADNFCR
