Virgo Health appoints new head of communications

Virgo Health has announced the appointment of Sue Neilen as the new head of its communications division.

Ms Neilen joins the agency from Langland where she led corporate communications. In her new role at Virgo Health, she will be tasked with helping to strengthen its corporate and internal communications offering.

Her career spans more than 20 years and includes stints with the European Broadcasting Union and Saatchi and Saatchi, where she worked with clients such as the Red Cross and the World Health Organization.

She has been appointed at a time when Virgo has seen exponential growth in its corporate communications portfolio, including work with Roche and Janssen.

Virgo's managing director Ondine Whittington said: "In a world where companies are under more scrutiny than ever before, creating congruence between the way a company behaves and the way it communicates at every level of the organisation is vital."

The company also announced that its senior account manager Francesca Morley will be returning to work following a period of maternity leave.
