Virgo Health appoints new medical education staff

Virgo Health has appointed Adam Pittard and Katherine Mantell to roles on its health education team.

Responding to the rapid growth of the business over the last year, the media agency has selected Mr Pittard as a new senior account manager, while Ms Mantell will become an editorial director, reports PRWeek.

Mr Pittard joins the company having previously been employed by Solaris Health and Medical Action Communications, with his new role involving responsibility over medical education and PR programmes.

Former Acumed worker Ms Mantell, meanwhile, will lead Virgo’s medical writing team, having previously accrued experience in education programmes in areas such as oncology, diabetes and multiple sclerosis.

The company said: “These appointments reinforce the commitment we made last year to making Virgo a market-leading medical communications partner.”

Virgo Health currently works with a number of major pharmaceutical companies, with its clients including AstraZeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Novartis and Boehringer Ingelheim.
