Virgo Health launches new office in New York

Virgo Health has announced the opening of a new PR practice in New York, which will be headed by Nancy Caravetta.

The launch of the office expands the award-winning agency's global presence further and will help it to better serve the needs of its multinational pharmaceutical clients, many of which are based in the US.

It will benefit from the leadership of Ms Caravetta, who can boast more than 23 years of global healthcare PR experience and specialist knowledge of developing and implementing core global comms programmes for the worldwide affiliate networks of leading pharmaceutical firms.

Sarah Matthew, joint chief executive officer of Virgo Health, said: "We wanted to extend the Virgo offer globally for some time and New York was the logical and exciting next step."

Virgo was founded by Ms Matthew and Angie Wiles in 2003 and has seen considerable growth since then, introducing a US medical education division in January 2013.

The agency recently earned a PM Society Digital Media Award for its work in developing a clinical trial training portal for Roche.
