Vivid MedComms names new associate business unit director

Vivid MedComms has announced the appointment of Derek Annan as its new associate business unit director.

Mr Annan is an experienced med comms professional with a strong scientific background, having most recently worked for Cogora, where he held the position of client services director.

He has also previously worked for ICC Health, Apothecom and Virgo Health, and can boast expertise in rare and speciality diseases such as hypophosphatasia, Duchenne's muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis, cystinosis and other uncommon oncological and genetic disorders.

Mr Annan said: "I am thrilled to be joining Vivid MedComms at such an exciting time. It's not often you get the chance to work in an organisation where everyone shares the same vision and passion."

Vivid MedComms is looking to strengthen its senior client services team as it seeks to establish itself, having been set up by parent company Lucid in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire last month.

Dedicated to rare and specialist diseases, the business is headed by managing director Alison Cantle.
