VPMA and BVNA call for Petplan award nominations

13th December 2013

The Veterinary Practice Management Association (VPMA) and the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) have urged animal health practice managers to submit nominations for the forthcoming Petplan Veterinary Awards.

This year's event will take place on April 3rd 2014 and will honour some of the best-performing and most respected veterinary professionals in the UK.

While the veterinary surgeon category typically sees a large amount of nomination, the managers and nursing categories tend to be relatively underrepresented, which is why the VPMA and BVNA are calling for practices to engage.

BVNA president Kirstie Shiel noted that nominations need not be overly lengthy, though a longer submission will give judges more to go on.

She said: "A heartfelt simple paragraph or two entered online is absolutely fine … If you've got ten minutes to spare, this is a fantastic way to boost your staff morale and just say thanks for their efforts."

The event will be held at Birmingham Town Hall and will be presented once again by broadcaster and media personality Gyles Brandreth.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801672522-ADNFCR
