Waggener Edstrom named tech PR agency of the year

Waggener Edstrom has been selected as the top technology agency of the year by a leading industry publication, recognising the success it has enjoyed over the last 12 months.

The media agency, which employs around 800 people across the world, has been presented with the accolade by The Holmes Report, which praised the firm for the launch of new digital products that "keep it on the cutting edge of innovation in the industry".

During 2012, the company was able to retain 90 percent of its customer base – including major technology brands such as HTC, Hitachi, T-Mobile and Microsoft – while also picking up more than 80 new clients last year.

Moreover, the company was also voted as the best large agency to work for by its employees once again, capping off a successful year for the organisation.

Waggener Edstrom is one of the top 20 PR firms in the world and generates global fee income of approximately $115 million (70.86 million pounds).

Other recent accolades it has earned include PRNews' digital PR firm of the year and top place to work in PR prizes, as well as the Bulldog Stars of PR award for communications agency of the year.
