Waters and Wyatt announce technology co-marketing agreement
Waters has announced a new partnership with Wyatt Technology to provide new solutions for polymer analysis and biopharmaceutical characterisation studies.
The co-marketing agreement will pair Waters' Acquity UPLC and Acquity Advanced Polymer Chromatography systems with Wyatt's uDAWN multi-angle light scattering detector to provide users with higher-quality information and faster access to data.
Size exclusion chromatography processes can be completed five times faster through the combination of the low-dispersion system design of Waters' UPLC systems and the low-dispersion capabilities of Wyatt's detector device, leading to unprecedented high-resolution separations.
It means users will be able to determine absolute molecular weights and sizes of polymers, peptides or proteins directly, without relying solely on column calibration or reference standards.
Mike Harrington, senior vice-president for global markets at Waters, said: "This is an example of two leaders in our respective fields working together to optimise the combination of our respective technologies to help scientists achieve their analytical goals."
