WE UK names new head of health business

WE UK has appointed Catherine Devaney as the new head of its growing health sector business.

Ms Devaney joins the agency from Red Door Unlimited, where she has spent 16 years, most recently in the role of managing director. Over the last two decades, she has worked with blue chip pharmaceutical clients including AstraZeneca, Astellas, Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline and Merck Sharp and Dohme.

In her new position, she will expand WE's health communications capabilities, while working to grow the agency's client base across the pharmaceutical, medical technology and consumer health fields.

WE UK is hoping to benefit from Ms Devaney's significant experience in health communications, in particular her expertise in brand launch excellence, issues management and patient activation.

This appointment will see Ms Devaney join Shefali Srinivas in Asia Pacific, Sarah Aldridge in Australia, Bianca Eichner in Germany and Stephanie Marchesi in the US as the core members of WE's global health team.
