Winners of 2016 Lions Health awards announced

The winners of the 2016 Pharma and Health & Wellness Lions have been announced at the Lions Health awards ceremony last week.

A total of 99 prizes given out after a record-breaking 2,605 award entries were received in what was the third year of the competition. In the pharma category, 52 Lions were awarded, with Ogilvy and Mather's Breathless Choir campaign for Philips claimed the Grand Prix.

For the health and wellness category, 47 Lions were given out, with the Grand Prix going to another London-based agency – FCB Inferno – for its Project Literacy campaign for Pearson.

The Young Lions Health Award was presented to Eleanor Howe and Lina Benmansour of DigitasLBi, while Argentinean agency DAVID Buenos Aires won the Grand Prix for Good prize for a breast cancer awareness campaign for MACMA.

Finally, the healthcare agency of the year prize was awarded to Medulla Communications of Mumbai, beating competition from Langland and McCann Health, with healthcare network of the year going to McCann, ahead of Publicis Healthcare Communications Group and Ogilvy Commonhealth Worldwide.
