Woodley Equipment appoints new biomedical scientist

Woodley Equipment has announced the appointment of Sara Miller as its new product development and international sales biomedical scientist.

Ms Miller joins the veterinary laboratory analysers and diagnostics company from the NHS, where she previously worked as a biomedical scientist in haematology, biochemistry and blood transfusion at Wigan and Southport Laboratories.

In her new role, she will operate from the Horwich offices of Woodley's subsidiary Quantum Vet Diagnostics, adjacent to the Woodley head office, and will play a key role in helping to bring new devices and tests to the veterinary market.

Prior to commencing her work, she will undergo a period of training to ensure she has the necessary knowledge of Woodley's products and company structure.

The company said: "Sara's appointment brings the total biomedical scientist staff at Woodley to eight, showing their continued commitment to ongoing product development and technical support."

This comes after the firm recently hired Tom Littlewood as a new veterinary account manager, covering Yorkshire and the north-east/eastern region.
