WPP opens dedicated Health and Wellness business
WPP has announced the formation of WPP Health and Wellness, a new sub-holding company that unites the group's capabilities in healthcare comms under a single banner.
To be led by global chief executive Mike Hudnall, the new business unit will aim to accelerate growth, drive new opportunities and deliver better health and wellness outcomes for its clients.
A new healthcare specialist unit will be created, consisting of four agencies – Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide, Sudler and Hennessey, Greyhealth Group and CMI/Compas.
In the Americas, the agencies will continue to be led by their current leadership teams, while a new international specialist unit with hubs in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand will be launched to oversee worldwide operations.
Additionally, a specialised health consulting service is set to be introduced, as well as a robust health-focused data and insights offering.
Sir Martin Sorrell, chief executive officer of WPP, said: "WPP Health and Wellness will build on the excellent work we are already doing in this space and take us into new areas with a much more comprehensive offer."
