29th February 2008

Wyeth has announced an executive change in its finance organisation with John C Kelly confirmed to replace Paul J Jones as vice-president and controller at the pharmaceutical company.

Before moving to Wyeth, he had spent over 35 years at law firm Arthur Andersen where he served as a managing partner and head of accounting and audit practice for the company’s New Jersey base.

Greg Norden, senior vice-president and chief financial officer, said that Mr Kelly had had a “significant impact” on Wyeth since joining.

“He has contributed much to the success of Wyeth and the finance organisation during the past six years,” he confirmed.

Mr Norden went on to praise Mr Jones’ established career at Wyeth, maintaining that he had made “exceptional contributions” to the development of the company and had been an invaluable part of the finance team.

Earlier this month, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare announced that Isma Benattia had been appointed as the new head of global research and development.
