Zinsser Analytic’s Sophas HT ‘offers flexibility’

8th December 2009

Zinsser Analytic, a provider of scientific equipment, has highlighted the benefits of using its Sophas HT system for automated synthesis.

The firm states that, as the process requires access to multiple reagents and the ability to perform discrete reactions under controlled conditions, the Sophas HT system is ideal for this.

Furthermore, it is specifically designed for the distribution of both dry and liquid reagents directly from their original vials without any additional preparation step under inert conditions.

According to the company, the facility provides a “complete workflow for the parallel synthesis or generation of new compounds or catalysts”.

Earlier this month, Zinsser Analytic pointed out the uses of the benchtop Eyela systems, which it currently supplies to the scientific instruments market.

Specifically, the Process Station is a “useful tool for the design of novel synthesis methodologies”, it stated – such as polycondensations, reflux reactions, catalysts, pressurised hydrogenations, carbonylations and polymerisations.
