Zoetis names new member of board of directors
Zoetis has announced the appointment of Dr Linda Rhodes as a new member of the board of directors, and of its quality and innovation committee.
Dr Linda Rhodes is an experienced scientist, academic, veterinarian and business leader in the field of animal health, having worked in various roles within the industry for nearly 30 years.
She most recently served as chief scientific officer of the animal health company Aratana Therapeutics, a role she occupied from 2012 to 2016, having previously served as its chief executive officer from 2011 to 2012.
Dr Rhodes was also the founder of the veterinary contract research organisation AlcheraBio, and held research and development positions at Merial, Merck Sharp and Dohme, and the Sterling-Winthrop Drug Company.
Juan Ramon Alaix, chief executive officer of Zoetis, said: "Her experience and insights will be valuable as Zoetis navigates the changing landscape and new technologies we need to ensure our continued growth as the world leader in animal health."
