Field Service & Sales Engineer
Role Overview
We are recruiting for an exciting new role based in Dublin for a global healthcare company which specialise in clinical diagnostic and point of care products.
This is a an exciting time to join a growing company where you will have sole responsibility for the service department, having the opportunity to implement new ideas and grow the team within Ireland.
Role Requirements
The Field Service and Sales Engineer will install, commission, service and repair medical diagnostic equipment in the point of care and clinical laboratory environment as well as plan and execute strategies to market and sell medical diagnostic equipment.
· Work effectively and efficiently with the wider UK & European service and sales organization.
· Perform service activities including but not limited to installation, operator training, preventive maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, adjustments, calibrations and parts replacement.
· Manage equipment and local parts inventory to meet customer needs and contribute to the overall UK & Ireland revenue goals.
· Plan and complete preventative maintenances on a timely basis and ensure accuracy and correct revision levels of all installed equipment.
· Maintain Device History Records and monitor modification and software upgrade status.
· Review failure trend analysis data. Identify potential issues and report them to management for resolution.
· Develop and maintain professional and technical knowledge pertaining to service activities described by further education and implementing technical bulletins.
· Effectively demonstrate and present products, prepare proposals, and negotiate new contracts and contract extensions in partnership with the wider UK team.
· Proactively address customer questions and concerns professionally to develop loyalty, customer satisfaction, and create new business opportunities.
· Provide necessary technical input to effectively participate in tenders or offers and develop strategic plans to influence upcoming opportunities.
· Provide management with market trends and competitive field activity information enabling the company to plan and react to market changes and competitive activities.
· Responsible for timely, accurate completion of administrative tasks, such as weekly reports, sales forecasts and sales meetings, CRM updates, and expense reports.
Person Specifications
· 3+ years’ experience in the repair and installation of medical diagnostic equipment used in a laboratory setting is preferred.
· Direct service experience within the Clinical Diagnostics market, experience of delivering
· Managed Service contracts and capital sales within the HSE environment
· Excellent English business-level speaker.
· Flexibility to travel across the UK & Europe will be required sometimes outside normal business hours.
