As an Account Director, you will lead and direct a portion of the business, developing and implementing innovative programmes on cutting edge medicines.
You will be the key strategic contact for your client, partnering to help develop multichannel programmes for healthcare professionals to ultimately improve patients’ lives. You will be responsible for the financial performance of your areas of business delivering operational efficiency and forward business planning. In addition, you will be passionate about getting the best out of your team, motivating them to achieve their goals and nurturing them for future success.

Role Requirements
Commercial strategic direction of large programme/account(s) within a single/multiple client roster
Responsible with TL,M&SS for development of rolling annual account strategy and plan
Leader and driver of communications strategy & planning meetings for account/programmes
Understand and challenge client product positioning/ marketing strategy
Understand product science and input into scientific content
Accountability for ensuring delivery to agreed HCN standards on the programme/account and adherence to external standards/guidelines inc. client SOPs/GPP
Thorough understanding of client and pharma industry environment and how it influences the account
Comprehensive understanding and consistent application of principles and processes of a strategic and tactical communication program
Thorough knowledge of division offerings and how they will meet client/product needs
Key point of contact for Publications Manager/Director
Development of effective client relationships horizontally on the account/programmes
Working knowledge of competitor agencies on the brand, their key strengths and potential divisional opportunities
Issue handling, supporting the team or directly with the client
Person Specifications
You will be a highly motivated and results driven individual, with a track record of achievement in healthcare comms and a knowledge of what makes the pharmaceutical industry tick. In addition, you will have exceptional management skills and importantly you will care. The ability to collaborate with others and work as part of a wider team is key to the success of our Account Directors. We need fresh thinkers who can work strategically and use sound judgement to make decisions. Energy and enthusiasm is a must!
