Account Director
Role Overview
We are searching for an exceptional, ambitious healthcare client services professional who is working on
their experience and skills every day. A natural and dynamic problem solver who will be responsible for
working with the team, to lead projects across multiple client accounts and developing these relationships.
You will be responsible for the leading the day-to-day management of all projects from commencement
to completion within the client accounts to which they are assigned. The ideal candidate would be proven
at delivering medical educational, creative, digital projects and campaigns ideally at senior account
manager level or above. The candidate will be mature and experienced within the healthcare agency
environment
Company Information
BOOM! has its HQ in Bournemouth UK, with offices in London Southbank and Copenhagen, and remote
staff based in the M25 area. We embrace technology to support our services and this means that whilst
client travel will be a normal, expected part of the role, you won’t be expected to work from the office
every day. Ideally we are looking for someone to work from the London office 2-3 days a week, working
the rest of the week remotely if you wish. This allows closer working with the junior members of the team,
helping to upskill them through sharing your experience

Responsibilities
• A pivotal role in the agency team delivering educational and promotional campaigns for our clients.
A partner and champion of clients and internal colleagues, never a passenger!
• Lead the day-to-day relationship with clients and proactively develop opportunities for clients
and the agency
• To think beyond discipline and channel to truly recommend what is right for the brand
• Ownership of discrete accounts and projects under the guidance of the Head of Client Services,
write and translate briefs into action, monitor progress and ensure delivery of desired results
• To be able to recognise when to bring in the senior members of the team for strategic and
creative support to keep the accounts healthy and drive organic new business
• Proactively drive organic growth on the existing accounts and to work on new business pitches
as required
• Understand clients’ business sectors and closely monitor competitors
• Provide recommendations to optimise campaigns based on analysis of performance
Person Specifications
Experience and skills
• Experience in a healthcare agency delivering multi-channel communication solutions. Experience
in Healthcare (POM) essential
• Ideally to have at least four years in a communications agency and at least a year as an SAM
• A creative and analytical mind, with a proven ability to interpret large amounts of information
• Proactive and highly organised, with excellent project management skills and a proven ability to
multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with pharma approval software systems desired (VEEVA)
• Ability to work both on own initiative and as part of a team
• High level customer relationship management skills with a proven ability to develop and
maintain customer relationships
• Professional – Having the ability to communicate with clients, KOL’s and colleagues alike

• Ability to work remotely with a couple of days in the London office preferred. We do not have core
hours as such just a requirement to communicate with your colleagues. Legally there is some wording
around this but the reality is that we are fully flexible. BOOM! have a corporate HQ in central
Bournemouth but also offices in Copenhagen and now on the South Bank in London
• There is an expectation to attend client meetings as required. To be clear the majority of the work
can be conducted from home, but ideally you will be able to work from the London office a couple
of days a week. The company will equip you with the IT equipment to be successful
• Additional face to face meetings may be required from time to time
• Daily organisation
• We tend to start our days with an 8-45am Teams call, which is a mix of catch up and
alignment for the day. We think it’s important to get a connection to the team and so we
broadly take the time to relax into the day with focus
• We don’t finish at a specific time on any day. We try to finish a little early on Fridays where
possible
