Role Overview

This Account Manager position covers the Oxford area, and you’ll be responsible for looking after their large customer base in your territory, continually developing new potentials to further expand your success. This is a largely travel based role, with around 80% travel. In terms of the producst you’d be selling, these would mainly be liquid handling based lab instruments.

Role Requirements

These will include:

– Implement appropriate actions to achieve your sales targets.
– Observe relevant competitor activities and develop operative measures together with your manager.
– In addition to customer visits, you will also participate in trade fairs and other events – your travel rate will be approx. 80 %.
– Strengthen existing customer relationships and generate new business
– Conclude sales negotiations successfully
– Develop and maintain the sales network for the assigned region, working with management to achieve our Top 10 Objectives, Key Account Strategy and Targets
– Update the CRM with all tasks, opportunities, meeting/call notes and future tasks

Person Specifications

– A degree in the Life sciences and/or a good lab background.
– (Preferably) 1-2 years of professional experience in Field Sales or Internal Sales, preferably in the Life Science industry

Professional competence, special knowledge (e.g. languages, IT):
– Good IT skills – this includes the MS Office family as well as CRM systems
– A fluent English speaker who likes to be on the road
– However, the most important thing for us is your sales affinity. You love and live customer contact – whether you are a newcomer or a professional.
