Role Overview
TERRITORY: UK (Travel up to 3 days each week)

Opportunity for an experienced Life Science direct sales/ distributor manager to grow sales for a market leading consumables and lab equipment supplier!
Role Requirements
· Create and achieve the business plan which will achieve sustainable growth and margins
· To manage key accounts in the Laboratory (and other sectors as required) sector in the UK – To manage, develop and grow a portfolio of existing and prospective customer accounts
· Make appointments with existing and prospective customers
· Proactively identify new opportunities and ensure visible tracking of prospect progress in order effectively to close business in a timely manner
· Generate customer quotations and follows up
· Provide internal feedback regarding market intelligence
· Collaborate with team members and other colleagues, such as Marketing and Supply Chain, to develop account specific growth strategies
· Attends trade fairs and exhibitions as required
· Assist in targeting promotional activities
· Develop and maintain detailed product knowledge for new and existing products, applications and markets
Person Specifications
· Educated to degree level in a science subject
· Experience in life science sales
· Distributor management/ Channel Partner Management – advantageous
· An excellent communicator with a confident, positive manner who works well as part of a team
· Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience in use of CRM
· Full Driving Licence
