PRODUCTS: In-vitro diagnostics products, reagents and instrumentation used in microbiology, haematology, point of care, immunology and biochemistry laboratories.
CUSTOMERS: Clinical, Research and Industrial laboratories
TERRITORY: Midlands, East Anglia and Wales

MAIN FUNCTION:
The management and development of existing accounts within the Midlands, East Anglia and Wales.
Identification and development of new business opportunities within the defined territory.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales target by identifying prospective buyers of the product portfolio within the defined geographical region. With the goal of expanding market share, this activity will require a high level of business development seeking out new accounts within your defined territory as well as servicing of existing accounts.
– Negotiate and influence contracts, tenders and MSCs with end users and purchasing teams to support the procurement process.
– Identify customer’s requirements and effectively communicate solutions through a consultative sales approach.
– Attend and support, when required, trade shows, user meetings, customer seminars and customer events.
– Work cooperatively and effectively with your colleagues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
– Maintain and regularly enter accurate and complete customer data, interactions and sales project information into the CRM system.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Minimum 1 years sales experience in the scientific sector or 1 years’ experience in a UK clinical/industrial laboratory.
Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
Good IT skills, including experience of working with CRM systems on a daily basis.
Must be energetic, work efficiently with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to promote teamwork and work independently to meet deadlines and targets.
Good at problem solving, logical thinking and strategic planning.
Must reside within territory.
Minimum 80% travel within territory, travel outside territory may be required on occasion.
