Biomedical Engineering Team Leader

Suitable for a Biomedical Engineer (either with experience in a hospital workshop or field service environment) who is looking to move into a more senior role, retaining hands-on activities whilst leading a team of 6 others.
This role will involve repair, servicing and maintenance of all Biomedical equipment (biomedical devices to complex critical care systems) at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington (BR6 postcode)
Role:
Develop and support a team of Biomedical Engineers to ensure customer satisfaction and to exceed contract KPIs
Ensure maximum productivity through overseeing the workload of the team
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines
Complete associated administration needed to close repairs and PMs
Maintain safe working practices, comply with Health & Safety policies
Ensure a high standard of customer service and delivery
Maintain spare part stock wherever necessary and liaise with 3rd party suppliers for spare part and contract quotations
Attend customer meetings when required
Person Specification:
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering
Minimum 5 years’ experience within a hospital workshop or field service environment
Ability to maintain service documentation in line with business requirements
PC literate
Good communication skills
Ability to manage heavy workloads, prioritizing as appropriate
Review ways to improve productivity and reduce operating expenditure
