Biomedical Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join one of the leading independent providers of healthcare technology management.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Biomedical Engineer who is looking to further their career, or a more Junior Engineer who is looking to progress within a highly reputable organisation. The successful candidate will be working with equipment such as blood pressure machines, diathermy’s, theatre tables, Defibrillators, infusion and volumentic devices.
The role will be providing services to hospitals across North-West London, so travel will be expected between Hendon, Northwood, Harrow and Brentford.

Role Requirements
Purpose of the role:
– Provision of daily on-site medical devices repairs, preventative maintenance and asset management to contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within specified hospital location.
– Build long term relationships with customers, subcontractors and staff to ensure responsiveness and superior customer service.
Responsibilities:
– Perform schedules preventive maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per
manufacturer’s guidelines.
– Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines
– Complete associated admin needed to close repairs and PMs as outlined in the Althea
Standard Operating Procedures
– Travel to various sites as required to perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance
– Maintain safe working practices within the hospital environment
– Exceed contract KPI’s to ensure customer satisfaction
Person Specifications
– A minimum of 2 years’ biomedical experience in a service and repair of medical equipment (i.e. patient monitoring, diathermy’s, theatre tables, Defibrillators, infusion and volumentic devices). Eperience with anaesthesia equipment would be advantageous, but not essential.
– Qualification in Engineering, electronics or medical technologies.
– Excellent customer service standards and be confident in customer facing enviornments.
– Must be willing to travel across multiple sites (Northwood, Harrow, Hendon, Brentford and some occasional travel into sites in Central London.
– The interview process will consist of two stages. An informal telephone screening will be followed by a face-to-face interview at their Head Office in Theale, Berkshire.
Package
6,000 car allowance + mileage (home to site and back again – 20p a mile for diesel, 16p for petrol).
25 days + bank holidays
Pension – 3% employee, 5% employer after 3 months (Royal London)
9-5 (some flexibility required)
4x death in service
