Role Overview
Business Development Manager with ideally 4 or more years’ experience to join a successful medical publishing company who create highly inspiring & visual digital scientific products and information for HCPs and patients.

Working for a dynamic, fast-paced business and the Business Development Manager role offers almost limitless opportunities for progression. It’s a hybrid role with 2 days per week spent with the team in central London (London Bridge). The company works on a number of revolutionary healthcare areas such as vaccines and Immune-oncology.
Role Requirements
New business development, including generation and nurturing of new sales leads
Responsibility for driving in-bound leads, including via eblasts, social media and website promotion (in coordination with our marketing team)
Sales data strategy and implementation – leading the growth and maintenance of our data to increase the effectiveness of our sales promotions
Resell/upsell to current clients, with a particular focus on account growth
Responsibility for our CRM (Pipedrive) in terms of driving and optimising team usage, producing reports and analysis, and integrating with other company systems (particularly marketing)
Using our project management system to efficiently manage contract handover to account management and editorial
Person Specifications
– Has a minimum of 4 years working in a B2B environment in a sales role, ideally within a publishing/media sales/online or events environment. Experience or knowledge of the pharma/biotech sector is a plus, but is not essential.
– Has extensive experience with consultative sales of service-led offerings, including development of proposals worth £100K+
– Has a strong track record of achieving sales targets, specifically around year-on-year account growth.
– Can demonstrate experience in learning about a new sector or technology area to enable effective, in-depth consultative conversations with sales leads.
– Can show evidence of exceptional sales skills, customer focus and time management.

• OTE of £90-120K, including a competitive commission structure (base of £45-55K)
