Role Overview
New and exciting opportunity for an experienced Water Sales Representative to join a leading analytical instrumentation company as a Business Development Manager!
Role Requirements
Responsibilities:
-Overall responsibility for increasing turnover of company products with UK water authorities
-Building relationships with our existing water authority customers and identifying cross and up-sell opportunities
-Establishing relationships with new water authority customers and introducing products into their supply chains
-Supporting the marketing team with Webinars and other material aimed at the water authority market
-Consistently hit turnover targets and key performance indicators
-Ensure customer satisfaction in all areas through regular feedback
-Travel to meet clients within your territory with occasional overnight stays
-Implementing marketing and future growth strategies
-Recording up to date information on CRM
-Input to company sales and marketing plans
-Formulation and implementation of sales plans
-Attending exhibitions at which the company is exhibiting
Person Specifications
What we are looking for:
-Preferably a BA or BSc degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences or equivalent experience gained through industry. Alternate science degrees will be considered.
-Sales experience in the waste water industry including knowledge of the general techniques and parameters represented within the product range
-Detailed knowledge of how the UK Water Authority market works and is sold to
-Able to demonstrate a successful sales record with similar products and services
-Strong analytical skills and experience of working towards targets and KPIs
-Excellent communication skills – both oral and written with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT applications
-Self-starter with a hunter mentality and results-oriented attitude
