Business Development Manager
Role Overview
Working with Zenopa’s client in their MultiOmics division as their European Business Development Manager, in the Major research and Biopharmaceutical markets.
Role Requirements
– Work directly with the EMEA commercial team and Metabolomics business unit to maintain a stable growth trajectory for opportunity space and NOB metrics in-line with strategic objectives.
– Work with regional commercial management to identify opportunities, nurture leads, and interpret lost opportunity information in each sales region and gather market relevant input and intelligence to flow into forward strategic planning for the business. Tailor sales and marketing efforts based on regional needs.
– Provide quarterly updates concerning lost orders, opportunities status and pipeline health, and relevant forecast information.
– Tailor sales and marketing efforts based on regional needs with prioritization on “Tier 1” countries.
– Create and manage external commercial collaborations
– Develop methods to monitor business leading and trailing indicators for opportunistic advantages and deep strategic planning.
– Plan and execute (with MARCOM units) relevant regional marketing and promotional activities including roadshows, conferences, and VIP events with careful attention given to ROI and cost per SQL.
Person Specifications
– A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a PhD in Metabolomics or closely related field
– Ability and willingness to travel as travel is required both domestic and international.
– Ability to function and manage projects with widely distributed resources is essential
– Excellent written and oral communications skills in the English language
– Self-motivation, and a willingness to work with others toward a shared goal in a sales-driven organization
Other Skills And Abilities
– Preferred familiarisation with sales process and pipeline monitoring tools e.g. using SalesForce
– Ability to interact with customers and in-house staff, with varying levels of knowledge and technical expertise
– Ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing commercial environment
– Keen decision making through careful evaluation of remote projects and data submitted by collaborative labs for project direction is crucial
