LOCATION: This role is office based near Birmingham, with some field based travel to customer sites
This role would suit a scientist with a strong background in Chemistry / Physics / Material Science who is looking for their first commercial role. This would also suit a sales representative who is looking to make a progressive move in their career in a rapidly expanding company!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Achieve agreed sales growth and gross profit targets.
– Provide a quick and efficient response to customer enquiries.
– Follow up on sales leads to ensure a high conversion rate in line with the company’s KPI’s.
– Maintain and develop current relationships with existing customers and suppliers.
– Provide after-sales support.
– Present the Company to potential clients through direct communication, face to face meetings, trade and pop-up exhibitions, telephone and emails.
– Work with our marketing department to identify applicable industry data and contact details from social media, published research and other web-based sources to generate new business.
– Feedback on supplier activities and suggest new innovations for the Company product portfolio.
– Work closely with all members of the Sales and Marketing team to ensure a cross flow of information.
– Stay up to date with current research projects and trends.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Ideally a minimum of one year experience in scientific or technical sales.
OR a commercially aware scientist with a strong laboratory background in Chemistry / Physics / Material Science / Engineering
